Firstly, please set phone built in message app as default message app.
Secondly, go to Phone Health app>>Devices click the connected device>>Notification Enabled click it and then enable Next sms app. After that enable the Next sms app and set it as default. If you want to edit the watch notification quick reply, please go to Health app>>Devices click the connected device>>Quick reply to edit it.
